Holiday House in Anjum with Private Parking and Lake Views

6-pers holiday home with view over the Lauwersmeer. In the living room are large windows. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, and infrared sauna. Pets are not allowed.

The house has a floor space of about 80 m² and is ideal for 6 adults. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a second toilet, and the infrared sauna. On the ground floor, there is a third bedroom with two single beds, the kitchen, the living room. The bathroom is equipped with a small bathtub. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, and oven. In the storeroom is a washing machine.
The house has modern furniture, new beds and a pellet stove in the living room.
The terrace is in front of the living room. It is not allowed to barbecue on the terrace. It is possible to do it on the left side of the parking spot.

There is Wifi and (DE) Sat. tv and (NL) cable tv.

Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century. Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts.

The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Dogs are more than welcome here as well. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog.

Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. At the beach, in the small resort ‘De Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city. In Esonstad you’ll even find a bouncy castle and an indoor playing hall and one can play golf and foot golf here at the local Pitch & Putt area. Renting a bicycle or e-chopper is also possible here.

In Esonstad you can easily do your daily groceries (a bigger supermarkt is just a couple of kilometers away in Anjum) or find a restaurant, pizzeria or a snackbar.
Another three restaurants are even closer to your holiday house. Some of them offer spectacular lake views. Other good options to enjoy the local seafood cuisine are the sea harbor of Lauwersoog at the northern side of the lake, the old fishing village of Zoutkamp at the eastside of the lake or at Dokkum, the most northern fortified city of Friesland.

To discover the National Park from the waterside you could bring your own boat or surf gear but there are boats and sailing boats for rent as well at ‘Paviljoen La Barca’. If you’re more into cat sailing, try the local cat-club ‘Omaho’, next to the small marina.

A boat-tour, sailing trip to Dokkum, bird or seal expedition can be booked around the corner and a ferry to the beautiful island of Schiermonnikoog, with it’s many miles of sandy beaches, is leaving from Oostmahorn as well.

The Lauwerslake (Lauwersmeer in dutch) is truly loved by fishermen for its large bream, roach, pike, perch and eel. At the reception of Holland1 you can obtain a fishing permit.

Do you like to walk and do you want to relax? Then visit the fishing village of Paesens-Moddergat with its small museum and experience the Wadden Sea World Heritage with its largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world. Hiking over the mudflats of the Wadden Sea certainly is one of the most memorable activities in the Netherlands. Guided tours can be booked here every day of the year.

Or just stay and enjoy yourself at your holiday house. Just don’t forget to look up at the universe on a clear night. With the title Dark Sky Park, Lauwersmeer National Park is one of the world’s darkest places. Here, you can truly experience nature in the dark!

    “Die Lage des Hauses ist wirklich wunderschön. Es ist sehr gemütlich und umfangreich ausgestattet. Wir haben die Zeit vor Ort sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

    Auch die Ansprechpartner vor Ort waren sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.”

    “Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub, sehr entspannend. Das Haus war sauber und gepflegt und wir werden mit Sicherheit noch einmal dorthin fahren. Positiv: Sehr schöne Gegend. Negativ: Restaurants öffnen erst Abends so das man für ein Mittagessen weiter fahren muss. Restaurant: Dat gode steak. - Sehr freundliche Bedienung und sprechen auch Deutsch was sehr hilfreich bei der Speisekarte ist, die leider nur auf Niederländisch ist.”

    “Wir waren von dem Ferienhaus begeistert, weil es genauso schön war , wie es beschrieben wurde. Es war modern eingerichtet, alle Gegenstände waren neuwertig
    und es waren nur wenige Gebrauchsspuren zu erkennen. Es war Blitzsauber , kein Staubkorn , nichts. Das Haus war gut vogeheizt und der Palletofen , war leicht zu bedienen. Von alllen Schlafzimmern , vom Wohnzimmer und der Terasse konnten
    wir auf den See blicken.Schön so aufzuwachen. Und die Betten waren so gut , das wir alle gut geschlafen haben.”

    “Äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus mit unvergleichlicher Lage. Vogel- und Sternbeobachtungen direkt vom Wohnzimmersofa durch die großen Fenster möglich. Ebenso Sonnenaufgänge! Die sogar vom Bett aus.
    Sehr ruhige Lage. Die Nachbarn sind weit genug entfernt für das nötige Gefühl an Privatssphäre. Trotzdem sind in wenigen Minuten Fußweg diverse Restaurants und ein neuer Ferienpark mit Einkaufsmöglichkeit erreichbar. Der Coop in Anjum in 1 km Entfernung bot alles was wir brauchten, oder wir fuhren ins 12 km entfernte Dokkum mit weiteren Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.
    Wir haben unseren Silvesterurlaub zu zweit sehr genossen. Durch die Pelletheizung auch im Winter kein Problem. Nach den Wanderungen und Spaziergängen im Nationalpark Lauwersmeer und an der nahen Nordseeküste war die Infrarotsauna zum Wiederaufwärmen super.
    Wir haben nichts vermisst. Wer braucht Fernsehen bei so einer Aussicht! ... (Obwohl die deutschen Programme trotzdem abends manchmal liefen.)
    Das Haus war bei Anreise sehr sauber und die Betreuung durch Familie Jeske hervorragend. Alle Ausstattungs- und Einrichtungsgegenstände, die wir zum Leben brauchen, waren vorhanden und funktionierten. Ein kleineres Problem mit dem Pelletofen wurde umgehend behoben.
    Wir kommen gern wieder.”
