Craistas – Classic Grisons House on the sunny slope of Val Mustair on 1876 m altitude

Comfortable furnished house with an old wooden living room, a large entrance hall, a lovely kitchen, 3 bedrooms (6 beds), a TV room, 2 toilets, one shower and a huge backyard to enjoy a BBQ from the grill.  

The Val Mustair is beautifully located in heart of the Alps. There are endless paths for hiking and biking through this magnificent mountain valley. Perfect destination to get away from the daily rush and relax.  

The region offers a unique cultural and natural landscape. Val Müstair is home to several special gems, such as the Convent of St. John UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Manufactura Tessanda weaving mill, many museums as well as the typical Grisons villages – surrounded by a spectacular mountain landscape. From the bottom of the valley up to the highest mountain peaks, a variety of habitats offer outstanding conditions for many wild animals.

    “Eine wunderschöne Urlaubswoche, es hat einfach alles gepasst. Positiv: Sehr nette Nachbarn, Bauernfamilie, gaben uns gute Tipps für unsere Wanderungen
    Tolle Wanderwege direkt vom Haus. Absolute Ruhe. Herrliches Spätherbstwetter. Restaurant: Zum Hirschen im Weiler Lü - Gutbürgerliches Essen für erschwingliche Preise ( CH ) Ausflüge: Val Mora vom Ofenpass aus. - Herrliches Hochtal Weglänge ca. 15 km”

    “Amoureux de la montagne que nous sommes, Craistas est un endroit idéal pour découvrir ce magnifique Val Müster, que nous ne connaissions pas. Mais les plus beaux endroits peuvent devenir encore plus beaux s'ils sont enrichis par des contacts humains. Ce fût le cas à Craistas. Ainsi c'est avec une certaine nostalgie que nous avons pris le chemin du retour. Un grand merci aux habitants de Craistas et aux propriétaires pour leur convivialité et pour le plaisir que nous avons eu à partager des moments de discussions et d'échange. Positiv: Nous avons fait la découverte d'une maison grisonne avec sa rusticité, son charme indéniable, le tout souligné par les détails d'aménagement qui reflètent l'amour des propriétaires pour leur maison. Rien de mieux pour se sentir à l'aise, quelque soit les aléas de la météo. Restaurant: Staila; Fuldera - Restaurant typique de la région, en main familiale. Accueil personnalisé et sympathique. Attention, il faut mieux réservé pour être sûr d'avoir une table”

    “Positiv: Sehr heimeliges, schön gelegenes Haus, mit Holzheizung und Holzherd. (kleine elektrische Alternative zum Kochen/Backen vorhanden)
    Möglichkeit, direkt vom Haus aus mehrstündige Wanderungen (auch kürzere) zu unternehmen. Und das ganze Tal und der nahe gelegene Nationalpark bieten viele weitere schöne Wanderziele.
    Mit den netten (wenigen) Nachbarn haben wir uns auf Anhieb gut versanden. Trotz der etwas verschachtelten Häuser hat man genug Privatsphäre.”

Die Holzheizung macht es erst recht gemütlich. Fantastisch gelegen. Restaurant: Restaurant Hirschen in Lü - Die grosse, gedeckte Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Krautknödelsuppe ist traumhaft. Ausflüge: Kloster St. Johann Müstair - Unbedingt an einer Klosterführung teilnehmen! Das Museum ist ebenfalls sehr interessant.”

    “Positiv: Wunderschönes altes Haus, mit viel Platz, ruhig gelegen mit schöner Aussicht. Sehr nette Leute. Negativ: Standort TV nicht optimal. Restaurant: Hotel Alpina, Santa Maria im Münstertal - Gutes Restaurant, hatte stets geöffnet wenn wir in Santa Maria waren. Alles Tipptopp. Ausflüge: Lü - Schön gelegen, sonnige Lage, auch mit dem Bus zu erreichen”
