Built-in the 17th century, the farmhouse was extensively restored and renovated in 2017. Its centuries-old characteristics have been preserved, while the infrastructure has been modernized to achieve today's comfort. The house is heated by underfloor heating. There are stairs to climb.

On the Schellenursli theme trail with various adventure stations, young and young at heart can follow in the footsteps of Chalandamarz. Numerous fireplaces invite you to grill, linger, and play. Location description: Guarda in the Lower Engadine is so beautiful a village that it was awarded the Wakker Prize. It also received the distinction «Of national importance». One of its stately houses inspired Alois Carigiet when he drew the home of Schellenursli.The Schellenursli Village, Guarda, is located at 1653 meters in the Lower Engadine on a south-facing sun terrace. Both in summer and winter, well groomed hiking paths lead from the village into the scenic countryside. The houses of the Engadine village have beautifully painted facades from the first half of the 17th century. The GPS-based «Guarda village tour» app is an interactive way to discover the village. 20 selected stations provide more information about the past and present, landscape and nature as well as the arts, crafts and catering on offer in Guarda. A special path is dedicated to Schellenursli – the main character in Alois Carigiet's childrensbook first published in 1945 (book also available in English). This path is particularly suitable for families, since it can be hiked in stages. It goes without saying that in Guarda the ancient tradition of the Chalandamarz is observed.
