    “IJhorst ligt in een mooie bosrijke omgeving, vlakbij Meppel en Giethoorn. De omgeving is plat en dus is het ideaal om hier te fietsen. We hebben het zelf niet heel goed gecontroleerd, maar waarschijnlijk is de dichtstbijzijnde grote supermarkt in Meppel te vinden. Er zitten in de omgeving ook nog de nodige supermarkten in de wat kleinere dorpen. Op het park zit een prima restaurant. Maar in de omgeving is vast ook voldoende te vinden.”
