“Machico is more than a city, it's a mix of events, tradition, cuisine and culture. Ideal for a beach holiday, romantic getaway, family time and leisure group. Offers a range of services including 3 supermarkets, 2 of them are about 10 minutes walk, post office, hairdressers, promenade along the sea. The bus station is about 10 minutes away and offers an excellent public transport network that enables convenient travel and relaxation at any point on the island. The strategic location of Machico allows access to a wide range of leisure activities, such as a water park 10 minutes by car; golf course about 15 minutes; footpaths to 15/ 20 minutes and the beach about 5 minutes walk.
Other activities: The Golf Center of Santo da Serra is about 15 minutes by car and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and mother nature: boating and sighting dolphins; many pedestrian paths and levada walks, for example : Praínha – Sardinhas; Boca do Risco - Porto da Cruz; Portela - Ribeiro Frio; Maroços - Caniçal among others.”
